Touch Yarns Hand-Painted Possum Silk Merino 2ply
Beautiful, light-as-air, 2ply laceweight yarn in a range of hand-dyed colours so stunning you'll want all of them! The knitted up soft and silky fabric is oh-so-light with the subtle "bloom" that is characteristic of possum fur. This bloom tends to intensify with successive washes. The generous meterage means just one skein will be plenty for a beautiful lacy shawl.
Hand-dyed skeinsBecause they are hand-dyed, every skein is slightly different and therefore unique. Hand-dyeing is not an exact science and although every effort is made to recreate the same effects, your skeins may not look the same as the picture shown here. Any variations in the dye are not faults, they only add to the charm and individuality of each skein.
We recommend alternating skeins every second row if your garment requires more than one skein to achieve an even spread of colour variation.
Anastasia E White's Painted Plumes shawl from Ravelry would look lovely in one of these beautiful skeins.
Note: the cowl being knitted in the image here is achieved by knitting in the round in such a way that rings appear. The yarn has repeated short-change colour variegation so a flat knitted piece may not have such large areas of pooled colour, depending on row length.
